TRINCON Expands as Demands Increase for the Trucking Industry
June 5, 2007
TRINCON GROUP, a leading national transportation industry advisory firm, is pleased to announce that it has initiated a multi-level reorganization in response to the company’s recent growth and the transportation industry’s advanced needs.
The reorganization includes the launch of TRINCON’s new program offering, the revamping of its corporate Web site and the addition of staff members. TRINCON is expanding its service offerings and staff as a reply to the trucking industry’s increased demand for proactive solutions to driver shortage, decreased profitability and reduced truck productivity problems.
“TRINCON’s growth is a direct result of the trucking industry’s receptiveness to our philosophy and business strategies,” said TRINCON President Duff D. Swain. “Our reorganization will allow us to continue to address the many varying issues that trucking companies and professionals encounter.”
The transportation industry continues to fight record turnover rates and a severe driver shortage, leaving trucking companies scrambling to cover lost productivity. With its new program, TRINCON is helping transportation companies address issues such as what trucking companies should do in order to attract drivers, why turnover is such a problem and why drivers leave a company. TRINCON’s program will continue the company’s 25-year tradition of addressing the needs of the trucking industry.
The program is comprised of three components—advisory services, specialized services and the resource center. TRINCON’s advisory services offer transportation companies, of all sizes, advice on how to assemble the resources to help them through transitions of growth. The advisory services focus on “Ingredients of Profit,” which include expenses, defining strengths and weaknesses, creating customized plans, attracting quality talent and training management.
TRINCON’s specialized services provide solutions based on its years of experience, insight and intellectual properties. The specialized services help companies improve driver retention and implement employee career paths, conduct profitability and situation analysis, improve new business development and enhance management team development.
The final component, TRINCON’s resource center, offers its expertise in a valuable collection of articles, white papers, manuals, Webinars and seminars. Additional tools include tests and questionnaires that help owners evaluate their company in specific areas.
TRINCON’ s expanded Web site offers more in-depth information about the company’s services and grants users access to numerous articles and white papers focused on driver retention, increased profitability and truck productivity. The site also provides a free Driver Turnover Cost Calculator, which uses activity-based accounting to estimate the cost of driver turnover. The reorganization of the Web site will allow TRINCON to further place tools at company owner’s fingertips.
“The demands that are placed on the trucking and transportation companies are evolving as the industry is constricting,” said Swain. “Our Web site offers a quick way for transportation executives and management to keep up-to-speed on the proven strategies that help companies respond to the industry’s latest issues and trends.”
Finally, the expansion of TRINCON’s accounting and sales staff will further support the growth of the company as it is rapidly expanding to meet client demands. These staff members will play an integral part in sustaining the company’s new business development efforts and daily operations.
